Curtains is the latest Broadway musical comedy from John Kander and the late lyricist Fred Ebb. Curtains is set in 1950�s Boston, during an out-of-town tryout for a silly Wild West musical. All chaos breaks loose as the stage turns out to be a homicide scene investigated by Frank Cioffi (played by David Hyde Pierce). Cioffi steals the entire show, by romancing the lead star of the musical, investigating the murder and offering his theatrical advice to revamp the sinking comedy. Pierce is astoundingly humorous as Cioffi and the puns in Curtains are smart, witty and sometimes a bit hidden. Curtains also has some roots in the book by Rupert Holmes. This is a musical worth seeing as it embodies everything the Broadway has offered over the last century. Great costumes, rambunctious singing and comedic energy has made Curtains a must see in the Broadway circuit. Curtains is playing at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and is 2 hours and 30 minutes long with one intermission. Its fast-paced storyline makes the time fly and also makes Curtains tickets sell quickly. The show opened March 22, 2007 and sells out quickly, so buying tickets in advance is recommended. David Hyde Pierce has won four Emmy�s for his TV series Frasier and Debra Monk (she plays Carmen Bernstein) has won a Tony award for her performance in Red Curtain.
